JOB TITLE: Lecturer in Mathematics (Full-Time, Permanent)
SALARY & HOURS: £38,477 pa (BAND 4, SPINE POINT 20)

The School of Computing is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be collaborative and motivated, bringing innovation, enthusiasm, and a commitment to high-quality teaching, research, and teamwork within a supportive and inclusive academic environment.

The Role

You will lead and contribute to the design, delivery, and ongoing development of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Artificial Intelligence, Computing, Data Science and Mathematics at Buckingham as well as the Diploma programmes delivered in China.

Key responsibilities will include:
? deliver high quality teaching in small groups and supervise student projects
? provide pastoral care and inspire students to achieve their potential
? take the lead on coordinating and delivering existing modules and develop new ones
? travel overseas to deliver teaching at partner institutes for up to three months per year
? contribute to research teams and develop their own area of research
? hold administrative responsibilities as required from time to time
? contribute to promotional, recruitment and outreach activities

The core teaching responsibilities of the posts will cover the following areas: Mathematics, Data Science and Quantum Computing.

The post is suitable for candidates who hold (or are nearing completion of) a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
